At the Highways Advisory Board Meeting on Tuesday, 20 May, Liberal Democrat Councillors asked Members of the Advisory Board to conduct a Public Consultation in Wateringbury with regard to lorry routes through the village. This was rejected.
Cllr John Frisby further requested that a small working group: consisting of the Chairman of the Highways Advisory Group, local County Councillors and two Councillors from Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council, be set up to consider public consultation and the impact that lorries are having on Wateringbury. This was also rejected by the Advisory Board.
