Trudy Dean is calling for a new crossing near Wateringbury School
Kent County Councillor Trudy Dean is calling on residents of Wateringbury to let her have details of any road accidents on Bow Road Wateringbury to support her call for a new crossing near the primary school.
KCC has turned down Trudy's requests for a crossing before, when the closure of Nettlestead School meant the children transferred to Wateringbury. Trudy has renewed her request in the light of increasing traffic since then, and the difficulty in getting a school crossing patrol warden. Trudy says: "It will increase the chances of getting a proper crossing near the School if Kent County Council knows about the dangers and accidents people have experienced." Residents are asked to write to Trudy Dean, Liberal Democrat Office, County Hall, Maidstone.
Trudy has also offered to contribute towards the crossing from a £10,000 fund each Kent County Councillor now has to spend on projects in the area they represent, if the Kent County Council Highway funds are not enough.
