LORRY PARK STRATEGY

George Koowaree, County Councillor for Ashford South East, is very concerned regarding the pending closure of Ashford Lorry Park when the land will be sold for housing. He has tabled a question at the next Kent County Council meeting asking the Portfolio Holder for Environment and Transport when KCC will have a Lorry Parking Strategy for Kent in place.

George Koowaree says: "There is an urgency now to have a Lorry Parking Strategy for Kent as soon as possible to protect, especially the residents of Willesborough in Ashford where lorry drivers waiting to cross the channel are parking indiscriminately in residential areas."
