Lib Dem Local Government spokesman Ed Davey, MP came to Maidstone for the launch of the Lib Dem County Council Election Manifesto.
The Manifesto combines national and County Council policies, as the elections are once again to be held on the same day. The 4 page Manifesto is available via this Lib Dem website or by calling the Lib Dem office on 01622 694239.
Trudy Dean, Leader of the KCC Lib Dem Group said:
"The two Lib Dem led councils in Kent (Maidstone and Canterbury), have both received 'Excellent' rankings from Government Inspectors. Our plans are to deliver improved services in road repairs, traffic congestion, activities for young people, recycling, schools standards and care for older people. These are the things the people of Kent say are most important to them.
We also want the unfair Council Tax abolished and replaced by taxation based on income - which would leave a quarter of tax payers unchanged, half better off and a quarter worse off".
