This is Very Disappointing News

At KCC's full County Council full Council on Thursday 15th December, George Koowaree, County Councillor for Ashford East, asked the Cabinet Member for Community Services for an update on funding and the completion date for the Ashford Discovery Centre.

George said "The long, convoluted and convoluted reply was not at all reassuring that this over ambitious building will receive the necessary funding from the private sector. It seems that without extra funding from the Deputy Prime Minister Office the project, as it was intended, will be a 'dead duck'. The costs have jumped to nearly £13 million. This is very disappointing news."
