I have lived in West Malling for over 30 years. My 2 children went to the local state schools.
I've been a County Councillor for over 20 years, since 1985 and in that time I have become Chairman of West Malling Parish Council, Chairman of the Malling Action Partnership (MAP) and Leader of the Kent County Council Lib Dem Group.

Icelandic Banks
|
£50 Million invested in collapsed Icelandic banks. KCC broke its own Treasury rules and £3.3million was deposited because no one read the email warning against further deposits. The Audit Commission report on Icelandic banks names Kent as one of the seven 'negligent' councils. The Kent commissioned PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) review noted that recommendations made by Kent's Internal Audit 3 years ago are still not implemented.
