County Councillor Malcolm Robertson for Maidstone North East

Malcolm Robertson was elected to Kent County Council for Maidstone Central division in the elections of 4th June 2009. Malcolm beat sitting Conservative councillor Jeff Curwood by a margin of 1242 votes to take the second seat in the division, joining Lib Dem Dan Daley on Kent County Council.

Malcolm said:

"I would like to say thank you to everyone in Maidstone Central. This was a hard fought election, and I'm delighted to have won so decisively. I will do my best for the area and look forward to working at Kent County Council as a part of the Lib Dem group who are now the official opposition on the County Council."
