In a question to the Cabinet member for Transport and Environment at the County Council meeting on Thursday, Lib Dem County Councillor George Koowaree raised his concerns at the length of the grass on the Drover Roundabout in Ashford.
George said: "The roundabout is the first impression for people coming into Ashford and its present state is an eyesore."
In response, David Brazier, Cabinet Member for Environment & Transport said "I agree with Mr Koowaree that the Drovers Roundabout is an important gateway to Ashford and particularly with the historic 'Drover and his cows' feature. I will arrange for the island grass to be cut and the highways service will continue to work with the Borough Council to ensure that the required level of routine maintenance is undertaken."
George welcomed the Cabinet Member's assistance and looked forward to seeing the Drover Cows emerge from the Meadow soon.
